Dr Zhiqi Liang

PhD | MMuscPhysio | BAppSc(Physio)


Zhiqi is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland. She teaches undergraduates and on the Master of Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) Program. Her research is on neck pain in headache, and she was recently awarded the David Lamb Award by IFOMPT for high quality research that has made an impact to musculoskeletal physiotherapy internationally.

Zhiqi has been a clinician for more than 15 years.Her clinical expertise is recognised by Fellowship within the Australian College of Physiotherapists, where she has been actively involved as an examiner, facilitator and currently sits on the Board of Censors.

Amy Papinniemi

FACP | MPhty(Musc) | BPhty(Hons)


Amy is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists and an emerging clinician-researcher. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Queensland with a research focus on the upper cervical spine. In her clinical practice at Indooroopilly Allsports, Amy consults on complex musculoskeletal cases.

Amy also serves as the Physiotherapy Education and Research Manager at Healthia. In this role, she facilitates research opportunities, promotes the implementation of contemporary research in clinical settings, and leads education across multiple disciplines.

Amy is also the Chairperson of Healthia’s Professional Development Committee and a member of the Clinical Advisory Committee. She has previously served in the Australian College of Physiotherapists as a member of the Board of Censors and worked for over 10 years at a large tertiary public hospital in an advanced practice role. Amy has also served as the assistant course/program coordinator for the Masters of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy programs at the University of Queensland and continues to contribute to the Masters curriculum as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer.
